惰化是通过向被保护系统中充入惰性气体或添加惰性粉尘，降低氧气浓度或替换氧气，使混合物不能形成爆炸性环境，或增加点火难度的防爆技术，常用于货油舱、筒仓等场所预防燃烧或爆炸。
