击穿是指在固体电介质或气体放电管中发生的破坏性放电现象。在电压作用下，绝缘体失效导致放电完全跨越被测试绝缘体，使电极间电压降至零或极小值，导致永久性损坏，相当于从绝缘状态转变为低阻抗导通状态。
