冰乙酸是一种无色透明液体，化学式为CH?COOH，乙酸含量不低于99.8%，相对分子质量为60.05。冰乙酸是无水乙酸，常用作食品添加剂以调节酸度，作为溶剂溶解醋酸纤维等混合物成分（蒸馏温度117°C-119°C），并用于镁合金化学氧化溶液成分测定中。作为高纯度乙酸溶剂，可用于溶解特定纤维以区分混合物成分。
