- This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the methods for reducing fine aggregate and coarse aggregate to a specified sample size. For coarse aggregate, this standard is applicable to maximum sizes up to 40 mm (i.e., not applicable to those over 40 mm). Aggregate larger than 40 mm shall be reduced by using other reasonable methods.
