- 本标准用 C 语言描述了一组函数和数据结构，从存储管理应用程序的实现中抽象出了 FAIS_Platform 的细节。本标准仅用 C 语言定义了一个 API。功能等效的 API 可以用其他语言实现，但这超出了本标准的范围。所有按照本标准中定义的函数规范操作的函数都应使用 C 风格的调用约定。此约束不限制 FAIS_Provider 组件的内部实现。除非本标准另有规定，否则数据结构和元素应存储在由本地机器、操作系统和 C 编译器确定的内存中。本标准为其所需的所有数据结构提供了声明。虽然这些声明在常见做法中可以合并到 C 头文件中，但这不是本标准所要求的。
