非木质颗粒是使用压模机将粉碎的生物质（含或不含添加剂）压制成型的非木质生物燃料，通常呈圆柱形，直径小于25毫米，长度在3.15至40毫米之间，端部断裂；由研磨或粉碎的生物质（如秸秆）压制而成的致密非木质生物燃料，通过机械压缩获得。
