绞合是指在制造绳、缆、线时，通过塑性变形将多根股线按照特定方向和节距(如螺旋或绳绞)结合成单一导体的加工方法。对于导体而言，绞合的形式为同心绞合、包覆螺旋或绳绞组合等规范作业，本质上是生成纵向剖面和分縫线并提高整体灵活性的工艺过程。
