生态廊道是人为规划或自然形成的线性/带状生态空间，通过有效连接破碎化的自然生境与农业景观，构建物质流动、物种迁徙及基因交流的通道网络，促进区域生物多样性恢复和生态系统韧性增强。其形式包括：在国家公园中连接孤立的生态景观单元，满足物种扩散、迁移和交换的线性或带状廊道；沿着田间道路、堤岸两侧搭配种植乔、灌、草具有生态功能的植物带；以及连接不同栖息地的区域，允许野生动物在栖息地之间移动以维持种群健康和生物多样性的路径。
