生产区是指专门用于畜禽养殖或工业生产的特定区域。在畜牧业中，包括公羊舍、母羊舍、羔羊舍、育成舍、育肥羊舍、运动场、兽医室、配种室、药浴池等养殖单元。在工业领域，指工厂围墙内由工艺装置、罐组、装卸设施、灌装站、泵房、仓库、循环水场、污水处理场、火炬等可能散发可燃气体及使用、产生可燃物质的工艺装置和设施组成的区域，或由罐组、灌装站、污水处理场等设施独立形成的区域。
