凝胶是一种具有果冻状柔软质地、可任意拉伸揉捏而不破裂的玩具。在化学领域，凝胶指任何树脂溶液或更复杂的树脂与醇酸树脂混合物，经过烹煮或与凝胶剂/交联剂反应以增加分子量并表现出假塑性流变性的物质，也被称为凝胶化载体。此外，凝胶还可指合成橡胶在甲苯中溶解后留在125μm孔径过滤器上的不溶物，以及宠物化妆品中与乳霜并列、用于非生产性动物的一类产品。
