信息单元是单一信息片段，在信令消息中携带特定信息的数据块，具有唯一标识符，用于描述呼叫属性、状态或控制参数。作为信息的基本要素，信息单元具有唯一含义，可由一系列特定信息项描述，如“产品名称”和“故障模式”等。在光纤通道中，信息单元用于数据传送的基于单位。
