Парниковые газы (ПГ) — это газовые компоненты атмосферы, поглощающие и переизлучающие инфракрасное излучение, вызывая парниковый эффект и глобальное потепление. Основные ПГ: диоксид углерода (CO2), метан (CH4), оксид азота (N2O), гидрофторуглероды (ГФУ), перфторуглероды (ПФУ) и гексафторид серы (SF6).
