防护类型是使产品适应在特定严酷程度的环境所采取的相应措施，设计制造的产品类型指产品适应环境的能力。包括封闭式、滴水-proof型和防风雨型等不同防护等级的设计。指为适应寒冷环境而采取的不同防护措施和技术要求。指产品在矿山条件下采取的相应的防护措施，以保证产品在该典型环境中的适应性。根据使用环境的不同，分为干热型（TA）、干热户外型（WTA）和干热沙漠型（TS）。根据使用环境腐蚀程度划分的类型，包括室内防轻腐蚀型（W）、室内防中等腐蚀型（F1）、室内防强腐蚀型（F2）、室外防轻腐蚀型（W）、室外防中等腐蚀型（WF1）和室外防强腐蚀型（WF2）。
