透湿率是包装材料在恒定温度和相对湿度条件下，单位面积在24小时内透过水汽的质量。在标准大气压下，每平方米试验材料在单位时间内透过水汽的质量。在试样两面保持规定的温湿度条件下，规定时间内垂直通过单位面积试样的水蒸气质量，单位为g/(m?·24h)。
